Frequently Asked Questions

Does Accounter sync with my accounting software?

No. Accounter has no live connection to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or any other package, and never sends data to them. You download a CSV file and import it yourself.

What can I export?

Bank statement transactions (date, description, amount or debit and credit, and balance) and receipt extractor results (supplier, date, VAT and totals), both as CSV files that open in Excel and Google Sheets.

Can I automate the conversion?

Developers can use the Accounter Agent API to upload statement PDFs and download the CSV results programmatically. Importing the CSV into your accounting software is still a separate step.

My accounting software is not listed. Can I still use Accounter?

Yes, if your software can import a CSV bank statement. Choose the columns and date format it expects in the export settings before you download.
