Creating a New Sales Quote

To create a new sales quote, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Sales Quotes tab.
  2. Click the New Sales Quote button.

Understanding the Sales Quotes Tab

The Sales Quotes tab contains the following columns representing essential details for each quote:

  • Issue Date — shows the date on which a sales quote was issued.
  • Expiry Date — indicates the expiration date for the sales quote, if one has been specified.
  • Reference — displays the sales quote reference number for easy identification.
  • Customer — indicates the name of the customer for whom the sales quote has been prepared.
  • Description — provides an overview or description of the sales quote.
  • Amount — shows the total monetary value included in the sales quote.
    • Active – quote is active and valid.
    • Accepted – sales quote has been linked to at least one sales order or invoice and is considered accepted.
    • Cancelled – quote has been cancelled and is no longer valid.
    • Expired – quote is past its expiry date and no longer active.

By monitoring the status of the quotes, businesses can effectively manage follow-ups and quickly transform active sales quotes into sales orders or invoices as needed.
