How do you split a PDF?
Drop the PDF and every page appears as a thumbnail. Click the pages you want — hold Shift to select a run of them — or type the ranges directly, like 1-5, 12, 20-. Then choose whether you want one PDF containing those pages, or each run of pages as its own file in a ZIP.
How do I extract just the bank statement pages from a larger PDF?
Clients often send one large PDF holding several documents at once. Drop it here and every page renders as a thumbnail, so you can see which pages belong to the bank statement and click them, rather than reading page numbers off a separate viewer. Choose Extract selected pages into one PDF, then send the result to the bank statement converter to pull out the transactions.
This is worth doing before extraction rather than after. A sixty-page client dump that mixes invoices, a lease agreement and eight pages of FNB statement will extract far more cleanly once the statement pages are on their own, because the converter is no longer trying to read transaction rows out of documents that have none.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere when I split it?
No. The split runs in JavaScript inside your own browser and the file never leaves your device. That matters for client bank statements and payroll documents, where uploading to a third-party server may breach your POPIA obligations. Most online split tools upload your file to their servers; this one does not.
The one exception is clearly marked. If you choose to extract transactions from the result, that step does upload the PDF, because the extraction runs our AI on it. Splitting and merging never do.
How do I split a PDF into separate files instead of one?
Choose Split into separate files. Each run of consecutive pages becomes its own PDF, delivered together as a ZIP. Selecting pages 1-3, 7 and 9-10 gives you three files, not five, because 1-3 and 9-10 are each a single run.
