Types of Custom Fields
Accounter supports five distinct types of custom fields, each varying in appearance and behavior:
- Text Custom Fields: These are the simplest type of custom fields, typically used for smaller text entries. Optionally, you can define a predefined set of values for convenient selection.
- Number Custom Fields: These fields are designed specifically for numerical data entry. They support displaying the totals in different views, offering ease when analyzing numeric information.
- Date Custom Fields: Intended exclusively for date entries, these fields display an interactive drop-down calendar to select exact dates comfortably.
- Checkbox Custom Fields: Ideal for representing binary conditions (yes/no or on/off), checkbox fields provide straightforward toggle options.
- Multiple Value Custom Fields: Use these fields to define a list of potential values from which users can select one or more options, providing flexibility in data capture.
Displaying Custom Fields
When managing your custom fields, Accounter allows various presentation and usage methods:
- Showing Custom Fields in Tabs: To display custom fields in tables within tabs, select the Edit columns option. There, you can enable custom fields as columns, making field contents easily visible within tab lists.
