Creating a New Production Order
Creating a new production order in Accounter is straightforward. Begin by clicking the New Production Order button.
Understanding Production Order Columns
The Production Orders tab is organized into several key columns to help you manage and track your manufacturing operations clearly and orderly:
Date
Indicates when the production order was created.
Reference
Provides the reference number for the production order.
Description
Shows a short description summarizing the production order.
Inventory Location
Identifies the inventory location associated with the production order.
Finished Item
Displays the name of the inventory item that is produced through the production order.
Qty
Shows the quantity of the finished item produced by this production order.
Total Cost
Indicates the total cost associated with the production of the finished item.
Status
Reflects the current state of the production order. It may be marked as either:
- Completed: the production order has successfully allocated all inventory items listed in the Bill of Materials.
- InsufficientQuantity: indicating inventory shortage or incomplete allocation.
Using the Production Orders tab will enable your manufacturing operation to track inventory, monitor the progress and costs involved in production, and clearly identify the state of each production activity.
