Billable Time
Log time dedicated to client tasks and projects for easy invoicing.
Overview
The Billable Time tab allows businesses to log time dedicated to client tasks or projects and easily invoice those hours. Billable time entries keep precise descriptions of work performed, hours invested, and clearly connect them to specific customers.
Note
Ensure you have set up your customers and configured hourly rates before creating billable time entries for efficient invoicing.

To invoice billable time entries:
- Go to the Customers tab
- Click the monetary amount in the Uninvoiced column next to the customer
- Click New Sales Invoice to create an invoice for the unbilled hours
- Review and save the invoice
Pro Tip
Group billable time entries by project or time period when creating invoices to provide clear, organized billing to your customers.
Writing Off Billable Time
If you need to remove billable time that won't be invoiced:
- Click Edit on the relevant billable time record
- Choose Written-off from the Status dropdown
- Set the date when the time was written off
- Save your changes
Warning
Writing off entries ensures no unnecessary effect on your Balance Sheet—billable time assets increase when recorded and decrease upon writing them off or invoicing.
