Depreciation Entries
The Depreciation Entries tab enables users to monitor the decrease in value of the company's fixed assets throughout their anticipated lifespan.
Creating a Depreciation Entry
To add a new depreciation entry:
- Click New Depreciation Entry.
- Enter the relevant details according to the form provided.
Understanding the Columns
The Depreciation Entries tab contains several key columns:
- Date: Represents the entry date on which the depreciation is recorded.
- Reference: Identifies each depreciation entry with a specific reference number.
- Description: Explains how depreciation is recorded and provides additional useful information.
- Fixed Assets: Lists the titles of fixed assets included in each depreciation entry.
- Divisions: If divisional accounting is enabled, this column shows the names of divisions pertaining to the depreciation entry.
- Amount: Reflects the depreciation amount entered for each fixed asset.
